Kansas strokers 12/12-12/19

Made our annual pilgrimage to Kansas last week. We were greeted with warmer than usual weather, but everything fell into place.
We hunted water most days since that is where most of the Birds were up until the 5" of snow on Wednesday night. Then we hit the roads scouting to find that they were on the Beans. The Mallards were scarce, but the strokers were in pretty good numbers. Robert killed the band on the last Hunt of the trip. Banded in 2009 in Minnesota. 3rd band in 2 trips for us in Kansas. Great trip and already preparing for the next! |
Great pics...I bet it was a blast.
