We often boil turkeys in seasoning and crab boil but then we make turkey cheese out of them.

I haven't done it with turkey, but boiling chickens after the crawfish is standard practice at the house. We will also do roasts and then freeze then for another time.

I did it a few days ago and it was ok. Im not a big turkey fan to begin with but it was pretty bland and didnt have the taste I expected. All in all the flavor didnt justify the work. If you are already boiling somthing else then maybe...

If I had to do it again I would have used less water to boil and injected it with the seasoned water before dropping it in. When you take it out it looks gross so I put some of it on the gas grill to give it some color. I deboned the rest and poured the water used to boil over it.
