Paradise popper FAIL

I tried a bomber paradise popper this past Sunday. On the left is a boat monkey cork after 5 trips. On the right is the paradise popper after 1 trip. Didn't notice it at the time but the paradise popper doesn't have the stainless steel washer that the boat monkey has. The brass bead dug its way into the cork and now it sticks at times. This results in a a cork that floats sideways.

Thx for the heads up; will stay away from those and just stick w/ a Cajun Thunder

I don't always use poppers aka "strike indicators", but when I so I use yellowmouth. Casts a mile

Those are some of my favorite corks. I have never had them dig in that bad.

he may be popping it a lot harder then you do.

it does not seam to have the center sleeve in it like the other one does so that may be why it failed like that more then weather it has a washer or not

I did notice it didn't have the insert. I've used some over a year with no ill effect

I was doing a lot of searching that day and popped the heck out of it for 5 hours. I alo use braided line so that contributes a lot more force than mono.

The insert is there. It just got hammered into the cork body! In any case I also picked up an H&h cork yesterday and like the boat monkey cork it has a stainless steel washer.

I'll have to check out the ones with the washer
