I caught a tagged speckled trout today and the tag read:: REWARD CALL # and was wondering if this was just for the CCA TOURNAMENT OR not?

Yellow tag is part of the LA Tagging program. Call it in... They usually send you a report along with a hat(prize)

The cca tourney is just for reds that are tagged.

Tagged trout
I caught a tagged trout at seabrook a few years ago. The tag was from Florida but was tagged in lousiana. Lol, they sent me a terry cloth hand towel from cca!! I was hoping I had won a truck or boat. Lol

Pastor - Check out www.taglouisiana.com they use the tags to help track movement and growth rates. Whomever tagged the fish would have entered the date and location the fish was tagged along with some general information about its size and condition.
They will send you a report of where and when the fish was originally tagged, size, etc. you will see how far it moved over the given period of time and any growth. You will also get your hat / t-shirt to go with it. |
