Newby, novice, greenhorn!
 
Setting up my first tackle box, what are some basic lures and bait i should have for trout, redfish etc. Fresh or brackish water.

bayou chubs, matrix shad, sand eels in purp/chartruese, glow/chart, chicken on a chain, black/chart. 1/8, 1/4, 3/8 jig heads. Clip on rattle corks

I hate gulp but it can save a trip some times. Always keep a pack of Chartruese swimming mullet, white swimming mullet and natural shrip on hand at all times... had it save a trip for me many times...

Chartreuse Redfish Magic spinnerbaits. Reds love em, flounder and sometimes trout dig em as well.

Carolina rigs with circle hooks for shrimp on the bottom.
