Tree rat gravy?

Brown a lb of bacon or use cooking oil
take it out and eat the bacon save the grease
season the squirrels then dust them with flour
brown them in the bacon fat or oil
take them out
add your trinity
brown that down real good
add garlic
add a couple cups of stock
return squirrels to the pot
cook till tender on a low fire
season to your liking

Thats, how I make all my gravies.

Do any of you eat squirel brains?

My dad will give you the squirrel body for the head.....I've eaten them but find skinning the head to be a pita for that small piece of brain.
