Dularge Inshore Weekend

Running this weekend for The Reel Inn I had some young guys on Saturday and then took the adults today 8-10-14. The boys started off yesterday soaking crab for some reds in one of our August holes. The bite was extremely slow but we stuck it out to make a decent box. I think around noon the August heat had taken its toll on the young anglers and we hit the dock early. The boys were stoked about fighting those few reds on light tackle. Today was more or less the same thing with a few hiccups. The reds weren't feeding heavily with the rushing tide and we only boxed 4 in 3 hours so we hit the lake banks and sight casted to some brutes cruising the shoreline. We hooked 6 and landed one out of those. Win some you lose some. Not to be outdone, we changed locations and the guys were persistent and wanted meat in the box. Talked to Capt. Lovell who had just whacked some puppy drum so I bummed some bait shrimp from Capt. Venable and topped off the box with some perfect eating sized blacks. Thanks guys, that saved the day! Big thanks to Capt. Travis Miller for setting up the trip. The guys had a great weekend!
