put in at the north shore this morning, every flag we saw on the way to mandeville way laying down then once we were 10 miles from the landing every flag was bumpin!!:pissed: we said screw it heared out to the causeway....15 20 mph winds 2-2 1/2 chop with scattered big rollers which made it hard to fish , work the trolling motor and try to keep 2 kids under 10 from getting wrapped around the pilings!:work::work:. we caught 3-4 flounder and a red on the causeway tagged the red and let the flounder go. we decided to go fish the twin span, hwy 11 and the train tressel in the east side of the lake. it was still windy but not nearly as rough caught 5-6 specks a few flounder , black drum tagged all the reds and specks . lesson i learned today NEVER take kids to the lake to fish if it rough! im not fishing lake p with more than 1-2 other people in the boat its a headache . ala in all it beats a day at work

even when its calm i dont fish more than three experienced people on the bridges...not a bad day though considering conditions

i think from now on im only gonna fish the bridges with 1 other person in the boat!

water is "too deep" to throw a bomber...Probably got a current too, so can't fish a bomber there..kinda like the Calcasieu Ship channel :eek:

I got Bombers that run 15+ feet deep. :smokin:
