My wife is gona have pumpkins out the wazoo before long. These are a lil bigger than a softball. I wouldn't want to count how many golfball to tennis ball size ones are on the vines.
Homemade pumpkin pie here I come :)

Ain't nothin wrong with a good slab of pumpkin pie..............Sprinkle a lil salt on the cleaned seeds and roast'm in the oven......

I will try that bubba. These are pie pumpkins so the wont get big as your jack o lantern type of pumpkins. We tried them last year but had a late frost wipe them out while they were small. This year's crop is looking much better.

I bake'm at 350 but you got to watch they don't get burnt. when you check after a few minutes toss'm around. come out like a cross between sunflower seeds and peanuts.....For some reason though they make you want to eat'm under a tree with a cold beer.............

Picked two this evening. Could have picked a dozen and let them finish ripening in the house but I like to let stuff ripen on the plant when possible. I have little orange balls all over the place but they aren't quite ready.
The best ones will be left until the stalk dies then collected for seeds.
The beer is just for size comparision. These are pie pumpkins not jack o lantern pumpkins.
