Terrible forecast

Prepped the boat and tackle for 4 hours last night....bought 80 gallons of gas.....ran to the tackle shop for a couple last minute items....assembeled a salty crew....woke up at 3 am, loaded up and rolled out. We broke the jetties around 5 a.m. to be greeted with a much stiffer wind than expected. Bumped out about 12 miles, and never got the ole champ above 14 knots. We stopped and had a safety meeting, and decided to turn around since the 5mph predicted wind was more like 15 and the clear sky prediction was very overcast. DAM YOU WEATHERMAN!!!!!!! We'll get em next time I guess?

Yeah, I hope. Just got the offshore itch real bad. Really gotta be careful about my days in the 22ft Baychamp tho. Only guy on the boat that didn't wanna turn around this morning was my 10y/o son. Dude has no fear, but he's never seen what the gulf can do when she gets angry either.
