Dove season changes.

Looks like we will be able to start shooting doves 30 min before sunrise this year on opening day. And also adding 20 days to the season. Great news because a lot of birds seem to like up later in the season.

Unless you've got other information, nothing is finalized. The proposal right now, which will be approved or denied on July 3, will have the opening day shooting time at 30 minutes BEFORE sunrise.

To be clear, shooting time on opening day will not be the traditional noon start, if the proposed regulations are accepted .

No new information here but I like the proposal they have on the table. I always thought it was dumb to start at noon. ITS TOO HOT!!

I check LDWFs website fairly often. I'm also a biologist (private sector), so I try to stay up on anything natural resources related. This doesn't exactly apply to my work, but I come across things like this and I pay attention to them.
