Thought some of you might enjoy this pic that I had transferred to a CD. Picture of my grandpa and several other guys after a successful bear hunt in the Atchafalaya basin. He lived in Port Barre, LA - don't know where the rest of the gang was from, but have to imagine the same area...

This is one of my favorite family pics...

that is a awsome pic!!!! you need to hold on to that and pass it to your kids when they are old enough to appreciate it!! a couple a years ago my grandmother gave me abunch of old family pics from when they come off the "boat" from Italy and Slovenia Ive got em framed on my mantle

You gotta pump a lotta lead BB's into a bear to kill it with a shotgun...

Must have been fun and EXCITING.

Yes, you are correct. Pic was taken in the early 40's, but my dad doesn't know the exact year. He said they were actually hunting somewhere around Avery Island...
