Some BBQ'd Chicken & Grilled Sausage
Every once in a while I like to cook chicken on a more conventional(read that more old style)grill. Yesterday afternoon I dragged out my grill that I use when I want to bbq chicken the old way. And what I mean is when the sauce caramelizes and gets all sticky. I loaded the charcoal briquettes to the side about 1/3 the width of the grate, lit them and sat back with a cold beer until ready to cook. I started off with seasoning some chicken leg quarters and a big breast I had to cut in two simply with salt pepper, a garlic and herb seasoning and a lil cayenne pepper. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...7/DSC03775.jpg When they were ashy grey I put the chicken on the opposite side, put the lid on and waited until they were about halfway cooked. Then I added some homemade Italian sausage. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...7/DSC03779.jpg Grilled sausage is one of those great pleasures in life! http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...7/DSC03777.jpg Sauced the chicken and let it cook onto the meat and get even more tastylicious. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/...7/DSC03787.jpg Mmmmmmmm................................ |
