Red River WMA
 

Anybody hunt there? looking for get a few leads on which areas may be best to look around first.

not real familiar with it but check out bayoubucks.com. I hate to pimp another site but alot of people on there hunt Red River wma as well as the owner of the site. He will be up there starting tomorrow for 2 weeks. The folks on there are cool and generally very helpful.

If you are going after deer, I suggest ride up and down the levee at night with a spot light. Man dey always a bunch of deer hangin along side dat levee at night.

Went 2 weeks ago bowhunting there for the first time, killed a doe but its a tuff place lots of deer but really thick and everything basically looks the same. Didnt have much time to scout so really never found anything good.

sounds like sherburne, the terrain in my spots is punishing this year
