That looks like its going to be great!

What kind of wireless thermometer do you recommend?

mriguy 04-27-2014 01:23 PM

That looks fantastic!

I like this one....

But I have 8 or 10 different ones but they are all hard wired.

Looks great Blue. Having sliced brisket or chopped beef sammiches? Thats some fine eats piled in a baked potatoe with sour cream, cheese, and diced green onion.

I just slice it up and they tear into it. The other half likes to make some brisket sliders with a little horseradish mayo and a slice of pepper jack cheese.

I love 'em.
I buy 5 or 6 briskets every year around Memorial Day when Krogers puts them on sale.

This was my last one.

Enjoy......

Do you have a preference in the wired units?

Dang boy! That looks fantastic!!!
I've been craving brisket for a couple of weeks now and this may have pushed me to do one real soon.

I do burnt ends sometimes. I just didn't feel like messing with them yesterday.

dauum.that looks great! What kind of smoker did you use to smoke that beauty??

Smalls 04-29-2014 10:01 PM

Man love that smoke ring! I tried my hand at my first smoked brisket a few months ago. Not sure what I did wrong, but it was touch. Flavor was spot on, but don't know if it cooked too long, not long enough, cut too thick, or didn't cut the right way. Will be trying again soon though.

What do you season yours with?

That thing looks good Chip, as soon as finals are over I'm throwing one on the UDS.

I'm using the Maverick ET-732, I have nothing to compare it to but it's awesome.
