12v underwater led fishing light sources.
Ever since we took a night trip for some fishing the wife and family has been bugging me take them night fishing. I was looking for a good source of an underwater 12v led light that I can throw off the boat and let the bait come in.
Can anyone personally recommend a good light? Anyone fished with those led stick lights? Do they do any good.? |
I just cant see how one of those led stick lights would compare to much larger lights from a dock

I have the Deep Glow portable underwater light and its pretty dang bright!
http://www.deepglow.com/portable_und...r_lighting.php Here is a pic of me using it in Turners last summer. Bait fish swarm on this thing!! |
it worked pretty good?
|
Yeah, I had a couple decent trips with it. My biggest issue was staying in the same area long enough. I had the battery source on my kayak so it was tough to stay still. In the future I will put the battery on a piling or build a small floating platform to place the battery, so I can fish a larger area while the light does the job.

Thats the 12v led stick one? Also glad you said big lake i would be taking her to turners as well. Do you think you caught more fish because of it?

Yes, Just click on the link I provided in my first post. I did a lot of research on them last summer and that company had the best reputation.
It def made a difference in fishing but to be honest I didn't use it enough to whole heartedly swear by the product. This year I will set it up before sunset and revisit the light after a few hours of fishing the general area. |
You go night fishing in a Kayak?
Do you have navigation lights so other boats can see you as a saftey precaution? What kind of kayak is that you paddling that it doesnt flip when you sit on the side? |
Yes, all the time! Nothing better than a huge red hitting my Topwater in the pitch black!
Of course I have a light on my kayak. I Also have a HUGE GREEN light next to me that can be seen from a far! I don't sit on the side of the kayak. I sit in it normal. Every fishing kayak out there is stable enough to hang your feet over but Thats a bold move in the dark! But to answer your question. I fish a Native Ultimate |
