Spicer marina is in hackberry. Its right off the ship channel.

Just make sure you know the right way to get there, or you can end up on a oyster reef/mudflat. Follow the bayou, don't cut straight across.

alphaman 03-23-2014 06:14 AM

Yep. I almost got stuck! 1 time

Oh yeah I remember hearing all about it lol

If its your first time going through i highly recommend following another boat in. Maps make it look like a easy canal but it has opening that will dry dock your boat if u know what i mean.

blackmamba 03-23-2014 08:47 AM

Yep yep yep I found those mud flats once. Tide will rip thru too so make sure your motor doesn't decide to shut off on you...

Bumfisherman 03-23-2014 08:56 AM

Follow the PVC pipes

Yea u right! Once at spicers one needs to know how to operate a boat well. The tide rips through that area

It can get dicey trailering the boat on the bayou ramp. I use the ramp by the boat stalls whenever possible
