Plants expansion in LC

I hear there is a ton of work about to come up in Lake chuck. I graduate in May with my Electrical Engineering Degree from Lamar. If anyone has some leads or just general information on a possible career path on the other side of the river please let me know.

I would try Levingston Engineering. we have quite a few places that we contract work at and they are all as permanent as can be. most major companies (sasol) will be hiring experienced people for a while, or until there arent any left to choose from.

also look into Chenier energy. theyre looking for people like crazy. they also pay more than top dollar!

Try Recon on Ruth street also. Talk to Tami Tolbert if you can. Also if you go to Levingston, try to talk to Donna. She's HR and very helpful.

Thanks.

You may also want to look at places like Citgo, Conoco, Axiall, etc... Some of these places are losing some of their experienced personnel to the new expansions so they will have some slots to fill.

I work in the Triad office here in Westlake. We are the largest electrical contractor in this area but our home office is in Baton Rouge where most of our engineering assets reside . Locally we have an office staff to run our field operations and we mostly hire Electricians and Instrument Techs.

I have heard talk of expanding our local staff when some of this work kicks off, but I'm not sure if they are ready for that staff increase quite yet. Never hurts to apply though. PM me down the road if you are interested in Triad and I'll see if I can get your foot in the door. ;)

I know them both... Robert was a Foreman for us for a while before he moved over to ISC.

Wire houses for cash and never pay taxes

Reggoh 02-19-2014 12:24 PM

Drug Dealers...
Prostitutes...
People working for cash...

These all have something in common Jason... None of them pay taxes.

I'm not sure someone that is starting out their life after attaining an Electrical Engineering degree wants to start off down that path.
