It's that time...
Do you have your #outboard engine regularly serviced? Do you feel that's important?
|
Nah, just run it till something breaks.

I service it every 100 hours
|
My boat always works as long as I dont drop the dang paddle.lol
|
I change lower unit oil once a year or 100 hours whichever comes first . plugs once a year . new gas filter once a year. repack trailer bearings and replace as necessary yearly. much easier to do in driveway than on side of road .

I hope Manti Te'o does not read these threads!

Regular service is a must unless you like buying new motors. Depending on the motor change the water pump every 2 years. Every year if you fish every weekend and/or run in shallow water. Lower unit oil, fuel filters, and spark plugs every year.

I'm the same.. FinChaser gets an oil change, lower unit oil, and new sparks plugs every March... Water pump kit every three.
Trailer get greased, lights checked, chains checks, tires checked and aired up.. Every other trip..Battery's are checked filled up with water, Fully charged. I didn't buy my 24' Triton LTS with S & H Green Stamps; so She gets pampered better than I do.. |
