Dulac post freeze 1/9 and 10

Fished two days after one of the hardest freezes in years, not sure what to expect and hoping not to see floaters.

1/9 got out and it was lots and lots of redfish of all sizes. Water temp ranged from 45 to 48. No trout except for late in the afternoon when four hit the ice. And those were hard earned. Fished from 1:30 to 4:30, totaling about 15 reds and the four trout, along with two foul hooked drum and half dozen snagged mullet. Fish were piled up on the depth finder.Attachment 61377Attachment 61378
Today was foggy, visibility about 500 feet. At 9 it cleared enough to run the ship channel, so my dad and I ventured out. Water temp had risen to 50 to 53, so trout shoulda been good to go. But nothing, I mean nothing til some sun began burning through around 11:15. Began a slow but steady bite, but the old man was stung by lack of action and pulled the plug with 8 in the box ( 7 to 1). It took a super slow steady retrieve and it was a slightest of pecks. Old people are funny.Attachment 61379
