Pecan Island 12-14
 

Hunted Pecan Island Saturday morning.

Ended up with a 3 man limit around 9:30.
Other blind hunting 400 yards away shot 12.

Mostly teal with some grey ducks and Schmallards mixed in.

It was cool to see Clarence Thibodeaux from Youngsville work his dog.
He is a well respected dog trainer and this was the first time that I have hunted with a dog of this caliber.

After reading the "Ribbon Dog vs. Rock Dog" thread I had a better understanding of the difference from a dog who is trained by the owner and one who is professionally trained.

Got back to the camp around 10:30 and cooked breakfast over an open fire. Doesn't get any fresher than that!
