You guys have no idea what that means to us veterans. When we watch the news and see all the happenings in the world right now, sometimes it makes me personally think " What the hell was it all for?" Then there's you guys. You all make it all worth it. When veterans get comments like these, it changes the whole aspect of things and makes me realize it wasn't all for nothing. My chest is swollen with pride right now knowing that there are people out there that appreciate us. RD USMC 1990-1995.

I happened to be eating at Shoney's today (which I never do) and they had a group of about 9 Army personnel eating a few tables away. I asked the waitress to give me their ticket and not to tell them. It was awesome to watch their expressions when they found out the their ticket was already paid for. they were all looking around trying to figure out who did it. It was just an awesome feeling to give just a fraction back to guys and girls that give up way more.
