Had some good folks (newfound friends who live to fish) down from Arkansas for the weekend and promised to get them on some specks. Fished big lake yesterday with poor results after trekking the whole circumference and fishing hard.

Hit the bay this morning to beautiful, calm water and started picking up nice trout at our first stop. All but a few were caught on jigged plastics.

They now have vermilion bay trout to add to their experiences of fishing from Alaska, to Costa Rica and offshore Fourchon. This was their first time targeting specks, hopefully they will be back!

This is a first, Vermilion Bay did better than BIG Lake!
