Snook in La?

Got curious and started looking for a reason for them not to be in Louisiana. Turns out its a temperature range thing. From a few old forum reports only a few have been caught in Venice, but i'm wondering. Has anyone ever caught or seen any snook in Louisiana?

They get some in Texas but I've never seen any around here

On my bucket list . . . Trip to Indian River Lagoon in Florida for one of those trophy Snooks, although wish we had them here too.

In season in Florida you can keep 1 snook between 32-36" I think is the regulation

capt coonassty 09-20-2013 01:18 PM

But since its not regulated in La I assume he could have kept them all.
