You won't likely see the video on “Swamp People.”

But it was enough for warrants to be issued for Roland “RJ” Molinere Jr. and his son, Roland “J Paul” Molinere III, in connection with an alleged battery in front of a Bourg convenience store.
The father and son Swamp People stars were taken into custody by Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office detectives Friday after they failed to turn themselves in on an aggravated battery complaint as promised Thursday, and were transported to the Terrebonne Parish jail for booking.
“They are in the process,” said Maj. Malcolm Wolfe, Terrebonne Sheriff's Office chief of detectives, when asked if the pair had been booked yet. Wolfe confirmed that the two had been taken to the jail.
According to law enforcement officials the Molineres pulled up to Roland's Mini-Mart on La. 24 and began wailing on a man who had come out of the store.
The precise date of the incident was not immediately available but a detective said it was believed to have been within the past 10 days.
At least one of the Molineres, according to an official who viewed the store's surveillance video, had a beer bottle in his hand that was believed used as a weapon.
The victim of the incident, who was not immediately identified by law enforcement, did not require hospitalization.
As of 11:30 a.m a bond had not yet been set.
The video, expected to be used as evidence in the case, shows a pickup pulling up to the store with three men in it.
Two of the occupants went into the store while the driver waited. Another pickup with its hazard flashers blinking pulled into the lot and two men identified as the Molineres exited.
The video shows two men from the other truck emerged from the store, and the Molineres “wailing” on one of the men, according to an official who viewed the DVD supplied by the store.
Store owner Roland Henry, a former Terrebonne Parish School Board member, broke up the fracas. Deputies were later notified and a complaint was made.

I can't stand these two. I hope the History Channel drops them from the series.

Remember them lighting candles in the swamp to put a spell on someone or something. That was hilarious.

What a couple of idiots... Swallow that "pride" for a second and take advantage of what has been laid at your feet ...

"Can't fix stupid" :shaking:

How can you get beat up by a golden gloves champion and a beer bottle amd not require hospitalization

budndawn 09-06-2013 09:14 PM

I've met J Paul a few times at Saints games. They have tickets right in front of me. He seemed like a really nice guy. Not once did he get annoyed by all the people coming to take pics with him while he is trying to spend time with his gf/wife and little boy. I couldn't handle being famous. I probably would get arrested for punching somebody in the face too.

You must not hang out in terrebone parish very much, they got some tough bastards down there. Also I don't watch the show so I don't know if you are being sarcastic...

Sounds like they might have caught a poacher and took care of it! If that's the case, I don't blame them one bit.

Buncha dummies. Wait til after the season or at least not in public. I've spent some time with both and, yeah, nice guys but not the sharpest tools in the shed. SP pays some relatively righteous bucks. Not near as much as the cast should demand, but good money.

Sarcastic but serious. Jay paul is supppsed to be a one or two time golden gloves boxing champion. So I would think he could do some real damage.

Watching him box and train, I would think anyone around town that would cross him to the point where him and daddy would hunt him down, whoop him in public, and not care what it did for their standing on the show, would have to be a total idiot or one equally hard mofo.

Just my theory - them dudes are lean and built to throw, I don't see a lack of hospital visit being anything short of them taking it easy or the other cat being tougher than wood****** lips.

Yes and yes.

leblanc272 09-09-2013 03:37 PM

Joe was arrested last year for beating up his old lady, so I rather not see him on the show either
