i was checking out the street view of the Mermentau river bridge and found this.
Hoss got him a nice red!!!

Thats my girlfriends Uncle, Francis Basco, He works the bridge there...Yall say some prayers for him he just found out he has skin cancer. Looks like our annual camping trip will be canceled this year :(

aww man, sorry to hear that :( sending prayers y'alls way..my mom lost half her nose to skin cancer. 9 years later and after about 10 reconstructive surgeries, she is doing great...hope the best for him

You might be talking about the other guy that works the bridge. His name is James. Great guy but talks way too much!!

Maybe so.. Thought there was only one bridge guy cuz it's the same ole boy every time.

I haven't been in about two years but I know there were 2 of them and one was named James. He drove a little single cab chevy s10. He'd fish off the bridge quite a bit and could tell you if the reds were there or not. Good ole boy.

i always thought that being a bridge operator would be a cool job...just chillin in the lil house...never even thought about when it was slow you could go fishing (only if it was a good spot, i'd probably get stuck on the vermillion river lol)...i really like the one on the way to cypremort point, it looks pimped out lol.

He has told me a lot of stories about fishing there, and yes James is the other guy that drives the S10. Always telling me he'll turn the lights on for me if I wanna come fish at night or something. I prefer to let the reds drag me around in the boat though. They will both talk your head off!

man, that one guy that don't shut up, he has ruined a few trips for me. The sucker just stays there talkin, talkin, talkin. I enjoy talking to people and hearing stories, but man, when its a one sided conversation for an hour, that crap is annoying.
