First time on site and plan on heading down to leevile on friday. Was wondering if anyone has been fishing along William canal. Any helpful information will be much appreciated.

Would like to find some trout.

I havent been in a while, but this time of year you usually need to fish the barrier islands and nearshore platforms in 25ft or less water. You may get lucky and find a few trout inside but they are usually undersized

also try the well heads in the bays

Thanks for the reply.

head west towards the islands. It is not that far of a run.

If you're going to launch in Leeville go west into Timbalier Bay and then head south.

It might be a little rough the rest of the week terrebonne bay gets choppy with a 10+ wind. You might do better chasing reds in the marsh.
I'm going out of Cocodrie this weekend wind or not I need some time on the water.
