It's time we get some common sense in government. My K-9 would spin in a circle so tight and fast he would wear his pad down to the meat if I didn't get him out of the kennel. These high strung, high energy are bred to work and interact with the family, not just the handler. They need to be part of the everyday life of a family that keeps them occupied. Left in kennels for long periods of time, they will bite and chew to the point of breaking their teeth. We had one that chewed threw a spare tire mounted in the rear of the Suburban one time when the handler didn't take him out on a high stress call. These are animals that have to work!!!! These handlers are crying for help!!!! Please write your congressman! The men and women of the USBP have dedicated themselves to these dogs - why should they stay locked up for 8 days?
