Camo Truck Wrap
 

Anyone on here have any experience with this company? I just got another truck monday and my should have been born a blonde mom put a nice size dent it in. My buddy will be able to pop the dent out but there is some chipped paint on the bottom by the trim molding....it is a 2000 gmc 2500. Instead of paying to repaint and replace the trim I am considering buying a camo accent wrap to cover up the chip. I think it will look good,the truck is dark green.

I don't remeber the name of what I used on my truck, but back in high-school I had the same kind of camo accent on my truck. I got it from Cabela's. It was hard as Hell to put on without bubbling and was tough as crap. I still have the truck parked at my grandpas and the sticker looks good as new with no tears or anything in it. It looked awesome too. John Deere green '87 Chevy with a Shadow Grass pattern! The ladies loved it ;).

Yeah I am a little concerned on how hard it will be to install without leaving bubbles or creases. I hate to waste 200 bucks....we shall see.

spray lots of soapy water on before, so you can slide it into place, then work them bubbles with the plastic scraper.

Soapy water does the trick, make sure you clean the area first too

I found a heat gun helped with the harder areas. Heat it up a boy and that sucker molded to it.

No kidding....Why didn't I think of that....matt g-I got a heat gun figured it would come in handy for that. Gunna order it soon prolly gunna go with the realtree max-4 HD pattern.

Ive Messed up a few sticker before:pissed: then I learned the trick, slides right where you want it.

The soapy water does not keep it from sticking? I guess that is where the heat gun would come into play....

No, you can use a wide "plastic" paint scraper and run it across the sticker, it pushes the water out from sides. It wont be quite as sticky at first,but that's what you want,cuz when your playing with a big decal like that, chances are you wont lign it up straight all the way. Once it dries, you are good to go. Ive done some big CAT decals on my equipment like that. You can spray a lil on the sticker too if you want.

Anybody feel like taking the photoshopping the camo onto the green truck? I don't have it and clueless how to operate it.
