Dr Jason Blalock and crew from Mississippi fished with me today. They had a great night sleep at The Reel Inn Lodge and jumped on the Bluewave for a early departure. We hit the Gulf to find the seas slick calm and very little current (thank goodness!!). It did not take long after I stopped the boat before Jason was reeling in a nice fish. We got on a quick bite slinging in the trout one after another, then it shut down. We moved around picking away at fish here and there. It was time to make a move. Our next stop found the yellow mouths more hungry and we got on a good steady bite. Big sharks were moving in and out and a big school of bull reds came in in us!! Everyone in the boat hooked up and all landed 20-25 pound bull reds. We took a quick picture and all were released safely. No wind today made for a hot day. Once the bite slowed we checked two other locations and called it a day. Today fish were caught on double rigged Matrix Shad, Highlife Swimmer Jrs, and live croakers. Enjoyed the day with these guy's, and look forward to another one real soon!!!! Thanks guys
