Boat would have eaten that chop if he had a yeti on the bow instead of that blue cooler.

Or, he would have died from massive head trauma if the Yeti came down on him!

I think W is just pointing out the folly of smaller boats running from Heberts to the weirs under those conditions. Stiff W and SW and NW winds are so common and can appear and turn the lake to a mess so quickly that small aluminum boats are a dicey deal.

The Grand Bayou weir is what, 10 miles from Heberts? My limit on distance from the launch/protected water is 3-5 miles in my alumacraft V16 because that amounts to < 15 minutes running back at 20 mph and < 30 minutes if rough conditions require a slower speed. 10 miles in Big Lake's worst slop in a 12-16 ft aluminum boat is a bad idea. 3-5 miles leaves one in much better shape if things start to look ugly.

Over the years, we've made a few 3-5 mile runs in sloppy conditions, and there is no way I'm signing up for a sloppy 10 mile run.
