fishfighter 07-23-2013 12:01 PM

our coast and seafood industry does not need to take another hit like b.p hopefully it isn't to severe, all this going on so frequently makes you wonder if someone has some minions running around sabatoging the oil industry

SuperDave 07-23-2013 12:09 PM

Yeah I got the email a little while ago...

Lake Chuck Duck 07-23-2013 12:15 PM

Wonder if this will affect the Tarpon Rodeo this weekend

swamp snorkler 07-23-2013 12:28 PM

It's a gas well so I don't think it's going to be to bad. Supoosedly there's no sheen visible.

BIGV 07-23-2013 12:32 PM

Hopefully it is just natural gas but still in all we and the oilfield don't need this.

Fishaholic247 07-23-2013 04:37 PM

Glad everyone got safely off! Several good friends work offshore and my stomach knots up whenever I see something like this. That Asian news anchor was HOT!

jlincecum 07-23-2013 06:28 PM

report i saw said gas well and sheen was evaporating almost as quickly as it came out. still not good for the home team though. This is a dangerous business but we can only hope the tree huggers wake up one day and realize how vital it is and what the outcome would be of just shutting it down

jlincecum 07-23-2013 06:30 PM

its a shame our gooberment media sits around and waits to report things like this now. Pre-macando, you may have never heard about it unless you were in the business

Very true

They are reporting that the rig is on fire now.

Mako19 07-24-2013 07:53 PM

I just heard that this blowout has caught fire.

Anyone have an update?

PaulMyers 07-24-2013 07:56 PM

That was yesterday.

"W" 07-24-2013 08:03 PM

Caught fire last night

bgizzle 07-24-2013 08:12 PM

It ain't on fire man. That's raw sweet gas making it look like smoke

rustyb 07-24-2013 08:19 PM

Guess who's "sidetracking" equipment was in that well ?

bgizzle 07-24-2013 10:25 PM

Yep that's a fire! Looked at it early this am and just gas was coming out. That much gas a light bulb in drillers shack would ignite it

papap 07-25-2013 12:18 PM

Saw on news it has sanded up.

BIGV 07-25-2013 12:21 PM

That is good if its true. I assume they will still have to drill another hole to plug it?
