yea but thats were they at....Rockefeller had more weirs to go to to get away from people....but its just as crowded sometimes..

IF you go to the Grand Bayou wier.......crabs can be caught without anchoring "at the wier". Try some spots "near" the wiers but away from anyone fishing or castnetting.

Another place to go in a boat is Sabine NR. If you go to the West Cove boat launch, put in on the west side. Go under the road and go south for 100 yards and turn west. Go about 2 miles and there is a wooden bridge. This is a great spot this time of the year when the sun is very hot and you need to get out of the sun. One problem there is......watch out for the "bait stealing" alligators. You may have to move because of the alligators.
