man drowned at grand isle, looks like they found his body right after we left from over there, terrible news people be safe, scary to think this could be anybody, even scarier knowing that it could have happened to someone you love, we had four kids 10years and younger playing in the same water

Said his personal stuff (phone keys ,wallet)was on beach and his fishing gear was in his truck. They pinged his phone to locate his truck.

I was there. That undertow was ridiculous! They put the red flags up Sunday morning but people still took their chances.

There's no undertow. It's a simple, strong current that people experience, aren't prepared for and try to fight. Panic and exhaustion quickly sets in and in a moment it's over.

People should heed the warnings, but dumb people do dumb stuff all the time.
