the garden booming
 
Idk about you guys but my garden is just spitting out more stuff than we can eat. tons of green beans, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, jalepenos... and the list continues. having to make pickles and all kinds of stuff just to keep it from goin bad

I got too many fish and ducks you got too many fresh veggies,Hmmm.

You can give all the wild came away you want though. They don't need to know you're exchanging for veggies. I have to have the biggest zucchini in Erath though! Triple 13 and chicken poo has mine looking like a a jungle.

just finished canning 5 quarts of bread and butter pickles. that makes 8 quarts total and still got a bunch of cucumbers coming in.

I was actually just talking yesterday about trying some pickles .. Did you use a certain recipe? I don't know how to do it

yea its in an old book I have called pickles and relish. really easy and really good. this is my first year doing it and their a hit.

Pickles are super easy to put up. Just put up 2 mason jars of them today. Wish my darn plants would get with it...

I usually dont even bother boiling off the pots at the end unless i have a whole bunch. Fresh pickles will last 6-8 weeks in the fridge, and mine never make it that long... :)

Love adding in fresh dill from the garden as well.
