Good Surf Fishing Water
I live in Beaumont, TX and surf fish McFaddins, High Island , Rollover Pass and Crystal Beach. Generally speaking the water is always sandy and fishing is "iffy". How far East would I need to go to find generally better water - water where I could reasonably catch pompano for instance. Grand Isle, Gulfport, Orange Beach, Destin, Dauphin where is the water green or blue more often than not?
I will appreciate any advice. |
Maes beach

Gulf Shores is the start of that type water. They catch a bunch of pomps in that area.

Always hear about people catching pompano on Ship Island in Mississippi

The barrier Islands in Mississippi.... Ship, Horn, Cat all have that type of water but the are onle accesible by boat.
