Recoil guides "bah humbug"

the only way i use recoil guides is for my customer to understand that when the line eats thru the ring or when the ring breaks from bending it's his baby and repair prices stand.
Now i use titium guides and i use the low profile solid frame guides retail cost on these guides are close to $100 a set i put them on my rods as a regular set of guides not an up grade or not as a xtra charge, i have used recoil a couple times and had problems each time, and it's not a good thing for the customer or my self so i would rather use a quality set of guides the first time around, and besides that when the owner of the company comes to me and ask me to use his titanium guides and i am talking the "top of the line guides" due to my building rep then i trust that i have a good rep and i need to go with the best, hope i can be of service to you, or at least have a chance to talk with you in person to explain more in detail as to the pro's and con's of the guides and i would be ever so happy to do so, just give me a ring and let's chat.

That's strange that you've had problems with the Recoil guides. I fished with the owner/inventor of the Recoil material down in Port Mansfield, who is a hell of a nice guy, and he didn't tell me of any problems they were having. I have several rods with the Recoil guides on them and I have yet to have one fail. I will definitely give you a call to discuss building me a rod. Thanks.
