how crowded will BL be Sunday monday
 

I am wanting to take the wife to BL Sunday and Monday. We are inexperienced in BL and I am wondering if it will be extremely crowded for memorial day?

What ya'll think?

Probably one of the most crowded weekend/monday fishing of the year...i would think sunday would be the best as most attend church

probably do not need a boat, just walk across all the boats in the lake till you find a spot you want to fish!!!:shaking:

It'll be a good day to find the reefs if you don't know where they are lol for the 20 boats on one spot lol

I might take a boat out and just sit in a spot with no reef, just to see how many people will come fish by me lol

I was on west Bank last year and stopped at a spot to drink and eat
M threw anchor out and Reed and I would wait to a boat pasted and set the hook

well I was a little worried about being so inexperienced with the boat and with Big Lake in general so I guess I picked a good weekend LOL. Oh well I think we may avoid the weirs Sunday and fish the south side banks for reds and look for reefs...I guess we are screwed as far as finiding a quiet spot to troll around and still catch a few fish huh.

Damn I need to just get a camp on BL so I can take the family out any time I like.

I went to catch some crabs a few days ago behind the Wier. The water was coming into the marsh, but not too bad.

While there, a big bay boat with 5 guys tried to come through the boat bay. I say tried......because there windshield was a little too tall to make it under. At first it looked like 3 of the guys were trying to get the boat through the opening, but after about 30 seconds the boat back out.
