Lake Raccourci
I have never fished lake Raccourci before and I was wondering if there are certian places we need to watch out for, for submerged objects, pipe lines etc...are there any reefs there and are they marked...we are planning to launch in leeville..

Big open area. Lots of islands. Fish the islands and run outs from the marsh. Good luck.

So there are no obstructions that u can hit while running in the boat...it's pretty much open? I mean I've looked at it on Google earth but it's just new territory and don't want to break anything

You shouldnt have to wry about hitting anything.. tugs and trawls boats passing all the time.. also if you staying the night close by hit up the lights by the liftboats right pass the bridge or the ACO drydock. Trout might be hitting good there. Once you make the turn after the bridge ppl fish the whole canal out to the lake and do good also..

Even better if you want to try light fishing at night go down bayou riguard to the east in and fish the big dock lights. Seen them hitting all the time when I was running out of grand isle. Apache has a few lights on there dock. Im running out of fourchon now and been seeing a good number of boats oassing fishing on this end..
