Was in the pool and some fool thought he could idle up a skinny trail and got stuck. So I had no choice, it was either run em over or turn and in my haste to stop I pulled her too far back and hit reverse. I can idle but that is all.

Almost happened to me last time I was there. An older man was stuck in a skinny trail in a blind spot. Almost had to do what you did. As long as you stayed on plain you was fine the second you hesitated you was stuck.
