Home owners insurance
insurance guys,
I have a 102 year old home in Lake Charles with its original slate roof. This made a huge problem 2 years ago when I bought this house, but I found Insurance. That insurance continues to jump, and I have never had a claim. If you are a n insurance representative, and willing to insure a house with a 102 year old slate roof, i want to talk to you. |
contact Bankers insurance company. They are represented by Insurance Unlimited in Lake Charles. They may but I cannot guarantee it. I just switched to this company and saved $900 a year on my home owner's premium.

Ok, everybody thinks claims drive insurance costs but in most cases (personal lines) it doesn't. Claims affect auto insurance directly and home insurance indirectly. Homes are rated a million different ways; yr construction, yrs of updates, plumbing, elec,ac,roof, construction, slab, piers, ect. I doubt you are going to find anyone that will give you much of a break on insurance unless it has been 100% renovated. Was the ability to purchase insurance at a reasonable cost a consideration when you purchased 2 yrs ago? Friend in High School lived in a Histerical home and her dad put it on the Historical Register so he could get the tax break and he was a big Vet in town. Old homes are Money Pit$ and even those with the chedda have difficulty tossing out the kind of $$ for upkeep.
Good Luck |
