Powerpole in lafayette

Where the best place around lafayette to get 8 ft pro series installed? Anyone know about how they are with bracket that mounts to motor?

Don't know about the best but I would think redmonds could do it for you. There's been some members on here that have installed them theirselves that might be able to give you some pointers if your thinking about going that route.

Had the guys at Superior Trolling Motor install mine.

I would get the bracket for sure if you can. I'm not a big fan of putting extra holes in my boat if I can avoid it. My last boat had it. My current one is bolted through the transom but it was like that when I bought it. I haven't seen a difference in performance.

I installed the one with the bracket. If you have access to an engine hoist its not hard at all. Takes a couple hours.

I installed mine too. Just used my tractor to hold my engine up.Not that big of a deal other than that.

I put mine first one on this afternoon, it was maybe the easiest job i have done on the boat. Took about an hour and half tops, ended up putting two plates on it so i can add a second pole and not have to remove the motor again, if you have the time and basic knowledge there is no reason to pay someone to do it, i would defiantly recommend the mounting brackets rather than the transom bracket.
