Nucanoe and Tyler too
Been thinking for awhile about getting a kayak, but just can't "pull the trigger" cuz I don't know how much I'll use it where I am (Laf/Broussard area). I like what I've seen at P&P on the Nucanoe cuz it looks like it might handle my svelte figure, i.e. 6'4" 270 lbs in that I could sit up high and with the rail, stand when I want to. Additionallly, it's supposed to be able to carry 675lbs which should be plenty for all the junk I might want to carry, including a TM and a small battery. I know they are coming out with a 10 ft. version which would be great cuz it'll fit on the back of my fifth wheel, but I'm guessing it'll be hard to keep on a straight path.
Questions: 10ft or12ft Nucanoe? Does anyone make a carrier for a "mother ship" cuz I'm guessing that will be the way I use it around "Da Pernt" with my 19ft. Frontier? What about a carrier for a RV? Thanks for any advice |
Lots of people here in Lafayette area in kayaks. Check out LKFC for more. If you are looking for something to mothership I would go with something a little smaller. Probably won't need a trolling motor if mothershipping to spot.
Plenty of SOT yaks hold your weight |
Any idea how wide the frontier 10 is gonna be? If 42" like the other NC models I would think that width would be cumbersome for mother shipping versus a ~32" yak.

FP, don't know how wide it's going to be, but I think it will be the same as the 12 ft. version.
