Boat hit basin bridge and on fire
 

My podna texted me at noon on his way to baton rouge and saw a center console hit a piling by ramah and blew up in flames. Hope they are ok but it does not look good.

It looks to be by the launch so it may not have hit the piling. I have heard of boat blowing up due to built-in gas tanks leaking.

He said the traffic stopped for a minute and talked to a guy a few vehicles ahead and he saw it clip a piling and caught fire.

That looks horrible, hope everyone is alright. When the water was low this year you could see how dangerous it is to run near those pilings. The footings come way out from the legs of those things

Three people were on board. All ok.

That is good to hear....I wonder if hitting the piling was the cause of the fire or something else.

Any details yet? I can't find anything on the web

If nobody got hurt there is not much for news channels to report,sad but true. That and the remote area it happen in.

I guess but it seems like traffic would have all but stopped on the bridge and then somebody would have had it on the news. Guess they were all off for Good Friday, Henderson was as packed for a Friday as I've ever seen..

I passed over that spot today and looked for the boat and it was not there.

that sucks to see it go up in flame... hope they have insurance...
