If you are staying at boudreaux's run the canal from boudreaux's straight across the east west canal. Lots of shallow marsh .Or run down bayou lafouche and take any of the turns to the right into the marsh.

If you bowfish you know you need clean water. With the wind blowing so hard lately you going to need get on the leeward side of a big section of Marsh to find anything remotley clean enough.
