GM is now China Motors

This is what happens when a all american company gets taken over by the government.

OhSoEasy 02-28-2013 04:41 PM

Buy an import. They are American made.

Montauk17 02-28-2013 04:42 PM

This is issued every year, I can't find the one with the 3/4 ton trucks though.

You'll have to scroll pretty far down to get to the dodge, gmc and Chevy pickups and yukons/tahoes.

I like how the tundra is up top and how the Avalon has 80% US parts vs Fords Fusion having half of that.

just_wanna_fish 02-28-2013 07:38 PM

So our thanks for bailing them out is to send the jobs to china.

Montauk17 02-28-2013 07:55 PM

The new way of the world....outsource,line politics pockets, and bankrupt the US.

silver_snipe 02-28-2013 08:03 PM

Well it did become government motors. We just thought it was going to US government.

Back to the list of US made cars and trucks. While I don't know I do suspect that the Ford Super Duty is probably very close to be the same percentage as the Expedition since it is on a Super Duty chassis and they are built in the same Kentucky plant

At least we are paying Americans to assemble. Because I don't even think Americans are making the parts for "American made" vehicles.

General Motors is becoming China Motors - YouTube

This is what happens when unions force companies to pay a high school drop out $80 an hour to put wheels on a car.

Maybe they need the same union Ford uses.... Or better management.

I have always been a big chevy fan sad to see this happen. I drive a 94 ext cab with over 200k on the original motor and still runs flawless. When I buy a new 1/2 ton it will be a ford though. You can really see how much cheaper the 07 and newer silverado is made. Take the seats for example my grandpaw has a 08 and his seats are already worn bad. The seats in my 94 have no tears and feels like a lay z boy.

fishingonewild 03-01-2013 09:17 AM

we all might as well start sticking to the ford since its prolly gonna be the last option made in usa.....

weedeater 03-01-2013 09:24 AM

Around the 2005-2006 time period of GM body style change is when they went to crap, as stated before you can look at just a few interior parts and notice quickly... I will buy Ford or Toyota next time around

Duck Butter 03-01-2013 10:01 AM

Yep, Toyotas are more 'American' than Fords and Chevys:(

and I am pretty sure Ford Motors took some government money as well

Sure did. The only thing Ford didn't do was declare bankruptcy.
