Duck call help

Looking to replace a call. Picked up a flambeau sweet cherry at Walmart last year that I really liked, but first time it got wet, it was done. My primary call is a Primos wench. I like to have a back up/alternative. The wench is pretty raspy and not very loud. Maybe looking for something to contrast it. Primarily marsh hunting. Preferably something cabelas carries (i have rewards points), and under $50. Thanks for help/advice.

I use a duck commander "smoke" ... It a raspy loud call and I love it... Been having it for prolly 8-10 years... I'm not even sure if they still make this call any more. And I bought it before they became "big $hit"...

I have the Haydel redleg and like it but my next call will be the duck commander duck picker. Really like the smoothness and sound of that call. Really want one but since I already have about 5-6 mallard calls really don't need it

DR-85... have several friends that have guided for years and just pick one up yearly. thinking of going back to it myself.

Don't buy a duck call by looks.
Haydel is a good call.
So is Faulks, but they won't last as long.
Wood and cane calls are good, but don't last as long as plastics.
Back in my younger days, Olt made a good sounding call, but you had to have lungs as big as Pam Anderson to blow the dang thing.

Haydel carbon quacker is a good call, a lil more pricey though around 50$

The olts sound real good. They started making em again but I think they are high dollar now. Not sure though.

I have this call and I like it, matter of fact go it on sale at cabelas before the season for 35 bucks. I recently bought the varaible tone one Haydel makes which cost about 30 bucks....I like it to.

The best sounding easiest to blow mallard call is the duck commander triple treat you cant go wrong it raspy but can still blow load and it never sticks there 30 dollars.

hankscke123 12-31-2012 06:37 PM

french mallard tied in decoys lol no dr 85 or red leg
