I ordered em and put em in my curado. It was easy to do and it feels a lil smoother but my bearings were not bad to start with. I paid $30. I think they are supposed to last longer. I wish I had more time on em to tell you more, but I put em in last Friday. And only fished once.

I was looking into doing something similar after I found a forum that's dedicated to reel repair, mods, and super tuning. They mostly just pull the seals off their bearings to decrease resistance. I'm waiting for my reels to get more time on them before I start tinkering.

alantani.com he's got the schematics for tons of reels there also. If you want to spend serious money this site has the special lite weight spools and level winds for long distance casting. http://www.japantackle.com/Topics/tackle_topics.htm
