That's an awesome hunt right there. I need to get in on that action

lsufish 11-30-2012 03:57 PM

The two men on the left have probably killed more ducks than all the people on this site combined.

Great hunt!

j.e.hagen 11-30-2012 05:13 PM

Probably so they hunt some good land and been huntin a long time

Ducktrickster 11-30-2012 06:19 PM

Ducks and geese are scarce in welsh. Nice hunt. You north or south of 10?

cmcnabb 11-30-2012 06:25 PM

He is hunting about a mile due south of where you are

Ducktrickster 11-30-2012 06:46 PM

They do to my piece. Has about 1-2"water and they been in it every night I think cuz it looks slimmer n slimmer everyday I go. I do my spread over water different than dry. To me it makes a difference

How do you set up for a dry field or one like yours? I am considering asking a farmer to hunt one of his field tht they are not using right now! It just has old grass and stubble in it! They have rough disc it a couple weeks ago.

Well I'm hunting ducks in a crawfish pond not too good for ducks either.

mallarddecoyryt 12-01-2012 07:05 PM

If they are crawfishing your pond it will be tough to kill anything in the field. It's been my experience that you can't do both. It either needs to be a duck pond or crawfish pond. Alright if it us crawfish after the season is over.
