Bought it at a CCA banquet and its the only day the wife can get off but would be more than willing to swap trips to Big Lake and go again.

right on man sounds like a plan. ive fished the hwy11 an tresels as well as the causeway but am no pro at it i like it cuz theres way better chances in my mind to catch BIG trout there. Any other place in ptrain other than those 3 bridges im lost!!! but im thinking of going next weekend to try the causeway and see if any plastic hungry specks have showed up. i heard from numerous people they have been catchin em (limits) around manchac pass which is alot further west than the causeway. ive always heard that it takes a few cold fronts to get the big shrimp to start moving east and the big trout will follow hopefully this next coldfront will give it the jump start we need to catch some big ones. anyways give us a repot on how you do

Duck, contact Capt. Eric Dumas and he will tell you everything you need to know. Just don't tell him you know Waltrip. :smokin:

Too warm

The lake is still a bit too warm for the bigger trout to show up on the bridges. Once the temp hits ~75, I'll be there as much as possible.

YellaBlazer 10-11-2009 10:14 PM

Bonnabel

I always go to Bonnabel. Much less people and boat traffic. I refuse to go to that circus on Williams ever again.
